I am an experienced, licensed clinician who helps clients address a range of issues and struggles that diminish quality of life and impact core elements of identity: personal, interpersonal, familial, professional, sexual and spiritual.

“The wound is the place where Light enters you.”  — Rumi

I approach psychotherapy as the study and mastery of the SELF. I see myself as partnering the individual on their journey through self-discovery and self-healing. I propose that the stages of self-exploration are three:

First is becoming the OBSERVER and the TELLER of your story;

Second is FEELING your story deeply and DECLUTTERING it of rigid and restricting beliefs, fears, and trauma;

Third, and lastly, culminates in you becoming awake, aware, and expanding into your NEW SELF, wherein I partner you in rewriting your NEW STORY and help you move it into action.

I provide short and long-term treatment. Teletherapy (see below) and sessions in Spanish are also available.

Fee: $200/hour

“Stay with friends who support you in these. Talk with them about sacred texts, and how you are doing, and how they are doing, and keep your practices together.”  — Rumi
I am nationally certified as a Group Psychotherapist and I do group psychotherapy in conjunction with individual treatment or on its own. Group therapy is one of my favorite modalities, second only to one-on-one sessions.
I believe that group psychotherapy provides an intense and powerful forum for exploring oneself and one’s struggles in relationships by being in a relationship live. Through giving and receiving support and feedback, group members build their capacity to effectively navigate interactions with others, including romantic partners, friends, family and colleagues.

I’m sure this headline has peaked your curiosity as it did mine about Psychedelic Psychotherapy. This field is burgeoning with new, reliable, and exciting research and in a few years, the FDA will give its stamp of approval to make this an official modality. I’m currently in the process of receiving my own extensive training in the subject. Here I provide you links so you have an overview of psychedelic drugs, their history, and current research with MDMA and Psilocybin-assisted therapy. You’ll find discussions of recent and current clinical trials, outcomes, legal status, and what it all means for the future of addiction and trauma treatment.

Since 2017, I have been certified through the Telebehavioral Health Institute (TBHI) to do online individual and group sessions.  I use software for my virtual calls, which is a Hippa-compliant software. Cost for online sessions are the same as in-person sessions, but are from the comfort of your own home. I do have protocols and guidelines for these calls.  Please call me and ask about this option.
In response to COVID-19 pandemic, I have suspended in-person sessions for a safety precaution. All my sessions will be virtual indefinitely.
